Registration is now open for the 2016 Contour Method Seminar, a one-day event whose sponsors include the National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRC).
The Open University is leading research in Europe developing the contour method of residual stress measurement. It will host the third biennial Contour Seminar on 15 June 2016, at its campus in Milton Keynes, UK.
The seminar will disseminate the latest research findings in the field and provide a forum for discussion by bringing together leading researchers, practitioners and those interested in applying the technique or interpreting its results.
The Open University has secured three keynote speakers: Dr Mike Prime of Los Alamos Laboratories, who invented the Contour Method; Professor Mike Hill of the University of California, Davis and director of Hill Engineering; and Dr Pierluigi Pagliaro of General Motors Powertrain Europe.
