On 28 January, Brunel University London and TWI held a workshop to enhance the collaboration they have as part of the National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRC). The workshop, organised and hosted by Brunel, addressed topics included in the PhD and MSc programmes to ensure that they are industry-related.
NSIRC is the UK’s first industry-led postgraduate education and research centre in structural integrity. The state-of-the-art engineering facility was established by TWI, working closely with lead academic partner, Brunel University London, the universities of Cambridge and Manchester, University College London (UCL), and a number of industrial partners. The collaborating partners will provide academic excellence to address the need for fundamental research, as well as high-quality, industry-relevant training for the next generation of structural integrity engineers.
