The National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRC) is hosting its annual conference on the 21-22 June 2017 at TWI facilities, Cambridge.

NSIRC is a state-of-the-art postgraduate engineering facility established and managed by structural integrity specialist TWI, based at Granta Park, Cambridge. With a target of training 530 postgraduate engineers and scientists over the next 10 years, NSIRC unites industry and academia with all students receiving one-on-one supervision from an affiliated University and leading experts at TWI Ltd.

Ahead of its recruitment targets, NSIRC is pursuing advancements in areas including: risk-based management, engineering critical assessment, non-destructive testing, structural health and condition monitoring, and health management for use in industrial applications.

The annual conference is a two-day event aiming to showcase our PhD student’s current research work via oral presentations given by second and third year students, and poster displays by those in their first year of PhD study.

As well as a showcase of student study, NSIRC also has three highly-regarded keynote speakers presenting from Industry: Dr Simon Edmonds from Innovate UK, Dr Alasdair Coates from the Engineering Council and Professor John Longhead from the department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The registration form and agenda can be found here.
