Video series sheds light on studying a PhD with TWI

TWI has produced four videos in which members of staff offer advice and information to students considering studying with the National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRC).

Each video features someone who studied their PhD or EngD while working at TWI, and sees them talk about their experience of learning here, the nature of their research, opportunities that were available to them and how they found studying for their doctorate in the Cambridge area.

The information in the videos should give prospective NSIRC students a better idea of what they can expect from conducting research for their degree at TWI.

NSIRC is a state-of-the-art postgraduate engineering hub that will, over the next ten years, provide a base of research for more than 500 students’ Master’s and PhD degrees. The centre, complete with purpose-built workshops, classrooms and laboratories, will be housed in TWI’s newly built facilities at its Great Abington headquarters.
